The show was edgy, dirty, cool and regal; a clash of emotion and artistry. The dichotomy of Vivienne Westwood is all of the above. Clothing so pristine, fabric and tailoring so important and the understanding of artistic detail gives her the A-ticket to host the underground. And then to proclaim the phrases that represent the journey from the 70’s to current time for Vivienne as well as her lover, Andreas, on nails… as well as borrowed for shoes, was a high and prestigious honor for us! Rock on, Vivienne Westwood, the QUEEN of all things COOL! Rock on!

All were transported to an Asian wonderland, encapsulated in a crystal tent in the Pavilion Ledoyen in the centre of Paris, where a light dusting of shimmering white snow blanketed the landscape for this perfect white carpet event!

Inside, models were warmed with cozy puffer obi's at the waist and neck and grounded by elevated wood-cut, intricately hand-painted platforms in clashes of patterns and colors. The fabric and details of the lavishly designed, crystal encrusted fabrics were as regal as those found in the Imperial Palace itself… and then the coup de grâce the Nail Couture. Base nails in a custom 'magical fog' shade blend, stamped with a graphic fan-shaped pattern, adorned with hand-painted Koi fish swimming across all the nails and adorned with Swarovski shining movement. Then in a final impulsive flourish: exotic birds fly from fingertips into the spotlight on accent nails, ready for their close-up; coiffed, dyed, combed, perfected, as one would expect from a super-model.

The result? LOVE. MAGIC. LOVE!!
